Should I add a operettas to keep waste from settling on the bottom or not?

Hey guys I have been thinking about selling this tank and upgrading. So My question is what do yall think is reasonable to ask for it.

This is what wold come with the tank
240 long 96x24x24black stand.
2 rena xp3's ( And I haven't decided yet if i will let the eheim 2260 go with it)
lighting ( 2 48 inch Hamilton technology HO t-12 lights. 440 watts total)
and all the sand, rocks, driftwood included.
and all the fish.

I would pay $800 for that right now. I know that sounds low but those are the kind of prices I am willing to pay or pass in my area. I just sold a show quality acrylic 220 gallon for $600. This is a tough economy and even worse it's the xmas season. cash = :thumbsdow in 99% of households.. If you want to command a higher price can I suggest you wait until the tax return season? You'll double your money when people have disposable income and dream tanks in mind.

Don't sell yourself too short bro. At least get it out there for $800 with the filter you have and get talked down a little. I really stand by waiting until tax season if you want more. I could get $1,500 out of the same setup here by waiting 60 days. Just saying if your upgrading recoop as much cash as you can.

What would you upgrade too??? I agree with the others, wait till everyone gets their tax return. You are gonna need the extra cash if you plan on going bigger...!

I'm going from a 240 to a 500 and the cost is significantly greater!!!

You would really let that driftwood go that easy? $500 is TOO low, especially with stand, filters, lighting, fish and that beast of a piece of driftwood. I would say $1000 min, but start much higher.

Would like to get a tall wide 6 foot tank. Like a 540. The drift would wouldn't fit in there and I can always find another bad ass piece of drift wood.

I was looking at the Pic. of the cabinet open and I didn't see any diagonal bracing or sheeting on the back for lateral support , I turned a dresser into a stand for my 125 and I added vertical supports but also glued and nailed some 1/8 " plywood on the back for about 1/3 of each corner to avoid any side to side movement or possible colapse after being filled , just a thought for when you build a new one .

It doesnt need it. There is 1x12s as the sides and I have 1 vertical 2x4's every 8 inches. It is very study. it does not budge at all.
