Some of the projectors we use to use in concerts & live events dwarf that thing in size & price. We use to double-stack Barco HD-18's & R-20's on scaffolds 10' high for 30' screens. Those projectors are around 250lbs each & worth $100k each. His system is definitely not obsolete, since they just recently started selling cameras that approach that resolution...Other than IMAX. Cool, but I wouldnt pay that much for a theatre.

i sure wouldnt have spent 6mil on a theater, i sure wouldnt have spent 6 mil on a fish tank either like some people mentioned. i would probably buy a fairly nice boat. and take a extremely nice vacation.
all i see is extreme coach potato's. its really sad thats what they would choose to do with all that money. i would give it to the poor before i would waste it like that.
You guys sure dug up a really old thread. All the equipment is obsolete now.

That guy must be a real movie "Freak" to drop that much coin on a personal home theatre. You could build one hell of a fishtank for that kind of money.
