Maybe the hype for it was misinterpreted at some point. Like the company said the line as a whole accepts diff mags and people started saying it as though each gun did. I'll add it to my list.

Do it! Its a great little carbine. I take mine with me every time I go on a road trip. I keep it folded up between my seat and console. Its cheap enough that if its stolen it wouldnt break the bank too bad but its reliable and accurate enough to get me out of any situation where it might be needed.

PLUS Kel-Tec is a great AMERICAN company. Their customer service is top notch. I recenlt lost the guide rod retainer on my P-32 and gave them a call. I explained to them it was my fault that I lost the piece and guess what. Two days later I had not only the piece I lost but an extra as well, totally free of charge! They handled shipping and everything. You can beat that customer service with a stick! Oh yeah, KT is in Florida too.

Damn I am impressed everytime I see your AK collection man.......

Thanks man, I do like the AKs. Hopefully one day I can branch out in that purdy stuff you get into. Since moving to Florida though, Ive spent all my free money on fishing equipment and havnt bought a gun in several months, probably the longest time Ive gone with out a new gun in a few years!

I'm a huge fan of the AK but everyone I find up in hell is a pos. The few real ones cost about a months rent/mortgage.

This is very true. There are so many rebuilds and built up kits out there with questionable parts and assembly. Thats why Id only go with an all original norinco, yugo or other high quality build.

Honestly AKs are very hard to mess up. As long as it head spaces and the rivets are pretty enough to your liking, a home build is A-ok. I personally dont like Yugos because they did not chrome their barrels nor chambers and used corrosive ammo. Its hard to find a yugo with original barrel in good shape.

The forward assist is junk. The bolt on the original was shiny chrome and got dirty easily plus soldiers were painting it so that the enemy wouldn't see it reflect even though they could have just closed their dust covers. The biggest improvement to the m16 was the change in bolt design

Yeah, the new M4's actually have MUCH less jamming issues than AK's do.
Especially the block II.

Whats the block II? Never heard of that.

AR-15s/M-16s are great rifles and not the jamm-o-matics some say. I must say though, Ive shot thousands and thousands of rounds through AKs and can honestly say Ive NEVER had a jam. Ive owned two ARs a home build with top notch components (CMMG upper, Colt innards, good quality lower) and a Colt M4 clone and both had a jam every couple hundred of rounds or so. Of course shooting only two ARs that were not 100% reliable doesnt mean that there are not some ultra reliable ARs out there.

The whole AR unreliability thing is a little blown out of proportion. The problem was that they issued them saying they were perfect and didnt even need cleaning, the conditions in Vietnam proved that to be false. They then issued cleaning instructions and the problems became much less severe but the resentment stuck and you now have a bunch of people that distrust ARs. If properly maintained and you find that load sweet spot they're just as reliable as anything else out there... but they're still shooting .22....

Hey my AK-74s are "just .22s" too but I still love em, prefer them over the -47s actually.
