The Anderson's salamander are Ambystoma andersoni, not Echinotriton (a distantly related salamander genus). There's at least one member on caudata.org who regularly sells c.b. A. andersoni.

I didn't research them well at all. Literally typed in the first name that popped up on google. I'd never do that with fish, but I'm not much of a herp guy so... There you go. Thanks for the info.

Aren't andersoni's critically endangered.... but my god. C.B andersoni would be heaven.

Higher temp increases metabolism and growth. As long as the water is well aerated (air stones) you shouldn't have problems until you hit about 74F.

One inch per month is a healthy growth rate. That is what I got with a lot of water changes and feeding NLS exclusively.

Outside of temp, water quality, and quality of the diet the most important thing is having sand as a substrate. Bare bottom stressed them out with nothing to grip and can cause sores on their feet. Gravel can be eaten and cause impaction. I only use and recommend Estes' Ultra Reef sand (will not alter chemistry).
