from what i have read most of the places, these fish have really small throats thus there could be an issue of pellets getting stuck.

may be really small pellets could help.

i say this as my previous one was such a pig, he used to try to swallow reall big pieces of frozen blood worms blocks, that used to scare me, in regard to the food getting stuck in its throat, later i used to thaw out the worms and then add.

some small update pics... i dropped in some blood worms and he went nuts for em. didnt realize i was shooting in such a high ISO so pics may look a bit fuzzy.

this little guy is such a good eater... dropped in some bloodworms and chopped up shrimp and he ate both. and now my odoe is starting to eat while im in front of the tank, usually i have to be a good 6 feet away for him to eat. todays a good day lol ;)
