I get it, the zebra stone is to allow the convict stripes to camouflage them!

I think I have a Jack Dempsey and female Convict pairing off in my tank. They share the same ornament to hide in and the original male convict lives by himself in the far side of the tank. The JD comes out and chases the female convict, but they aren't hurting each other at all yet. Not real sure yet, this would be my first spawning pair if they do. I've just never had any luck spawning anything, I usually keep one species in a tank, not much opportunity for mixing.
I had a jag/dovii, he is on my avatar. Lost him last year, about to get a texas jag, hope it takes after the long jaguar body, with the blue colors. I loved my jag/dovii, but he was going on 15 inches and outgrowing my tank. Maybe the texas jag won't get quite as large. I hope it has the attitude of a jaguar. I never minded too much getting bit by my big jag/dovii. He was my big boy with an attitude. I still miss him.
Thanks for that Thai-Silk hybrid Picture. The face looks awesome, almost like it has some Escondido Texas in it even though it does not. How old is that baby? Would like to see it's Adult pictures when it gets bigger.
