thanks for making the separate thread, was getting kinda congested with bowfishing over in the other thread!
I've wanted to try bowfishing ever since I got my first bow... I have no idea what to do with the fish though. Around here I'd probably have no trouble finding carp, but I'm definitely not going to eat them and shooting them just to kill them seems wasteful to me... If I knew what to do with them I might take it up.
Doubt carps are healthy food item for your fishes.Just feed them to your fish...
Actually wanton waste DO apply to them if you leave them on the banks and ruined the recreation time for someone. Just dump them on your property and burying them. For your record.....carps tasted horrible even if they are smoked.I was always told that there were no carp native to the US, so killing them is encouraged since any carp are considered an invasive species. That's why the "wanton waste" regulations don't apply to them. Certain species here are required to be killed and reported (where found, how many, size, etc.)
