I agree lighting is everything, but I takes time to learn. I can honestly say that I love shooting with strobes. By learning a few tricks you can turn a normally boring picture into a great one.

Here's a shot I did this passed weekend by the lake while the sun was still up.

My girlfriend let's me use her limmited edition Sony A330 DSLR when she's in a fishy mood haha. Other than that I have a nice full 1080P HD Sony WX5 that takes amazing photos for a digital point and shoot. First pic is the DSLR, second is my digital for quality comparason.
