The cheapest misting system ever (what are ur thoughts on my idea?)

I want to build a nice DIY misting system for my future reptiles. And I just randomly thought of this idea and I wanna know your thoughts on it.

Basically i want to get a container (tub) with a screw top so it can seal airtight. cut 2 holes in the lid and put some mini bulkheads on it. Attatch 2 air tubes on the inside, one with a check valve that only goes in a few inches, and the other tube going to the bottom. On the tube with the check valve atatch a line with a strong airpump to it. On the other bulkhead atatch a airtube going up into the tank to the fogger nozzle. if the tub is then filled with water, my idea is that the airpump will pump air into the tub and the preasure build up will force water up through the other tube to the fogger nozzle. If I then put the airpump on a timer to come on for a few minutes 2 times a day, All i would have to do is fill the tub once a week or so and my reptiles would stay nice and damp.

did that make sense? what do you guys think?

Lol. I think all the water will squirt out at once.
What did you mean by a "fogger nozzle"?

like a misting nozzle... its specially made for it. They split the water into like a spray that allows droplets of wat the size of like 50 microliters or sumthin out at once... so it really forms like a mist/fog

Hmmmm... that sounds good. you may give a try using a 2L bottle - follow the steps from a DIY CO2 generator.
Make two holes in the bottle cap, insert your tubing and silicone them.

yea thats what i was thinkin. My first test will simply be to fill a air tube with water and hook up a pump n see if it produces enough pressure to push the water up 5-6 feet
if it can do that... at least ill know the pump has enough power...

I was thinking about the bottle. Its the opposite setup of the bubble counter in the DIY CO2. If you pump air, it gonna spit the entire content out!!!
