I love how you guys bring in ratios and stuff haha...
Fact is china have less athletes and is still doing well.
Theres no need to do all the 'there's like 1000000000 of them !! They got more to choose from' matter of the fact is some talent are never found because of poverty or poorer parts of the country and same goes for other countries. They don't go around to every single person and get to the jump, run or swim.
Less crying USA. Enjoy the Olympics

Why do people even give a damn about medals you win in the olympics? I was thinking about this today actually. With everything we have in this world that people make a big deal about it really means nothing in the grand scheme of things. So you award people for some stupid stunt or game with medals and that makes you great?

Exactly, that aint " dominating", and just before USA had more, before that was china. It swaps. This thread is troll bait so I aint biting....too hard.

If we really want to talk about it, why not discuss how china gets their competitors.

OP, I assuming that you no longer live in china(im semi doubtful you where even born there) and going to assume you live in the US now. If im wrong feel free to correct me BTW. But "your people" if your living in the USA is USA. Not china. Just because your heritage originates there, dont make you that.

They do it because its a source of national pride. They do it because for just a few weeks instead of hating your neighbor, we can get together and have pride in something. We care because it distracts from the u that is this world, and allows even if just for a short while, us to think of the good. That is why people care.

Also funny how chinas girl beat the WR and americans cried so she had to get tested but a few days back I saw an American also beat a WR and all she got was applause for her swim and effort put into the sport. Ha
