demjor, I know my fish better then that. What I meant was, that because I know a place where there are so many gar I can litterally bend down and pick them up, I am hoping I can find an oddball patterned gar or perhaps a mellanistic gar. Afterall Ive got numbers on my side!

As for the NTT, I only have one light on the tank and I fed before I took the pics so he was on the dark side of the tank chilling with a full belly!

unknownuza, all I need is my armatus back, a tig, and an ST and I will be set!

The rays are around 8-10".

i wasnt questioning your fish knowledge man, i was just answering Gr8's question in a general sense. if you find an oddball patterned gar you will have to be sure to post some pics for us. sorry for the confusion.

btw...when i said wrong J (i meant that the question was directed at you and i answered it) that's all.

haha sorry! Internet conversation skills isnt my strongest strength!

But if you are a gar fan you will love this place. You have to kick them out of your way sometimes when your wading cause they just sit there! I have caught long nose gar very close to 60" TL. I sure hope I can find a cool one. For some reason I have been bit by the gar bug, its just that I want a really unique one cause I see 'normal' ones all the time!

Please take some pictures next time of this sea of gars you speak of!!!!
