The dovii breeding grounds

I like the Dovii & Jag for the tank. There gonna looks really nice growing up in that tank!

plans so far
1) take glass i just cut and make lids
2) set up my fx5 with biomax, prefilter, and polishing pads.
3) substrate (25%PFS and 75% black blasting sand)

5) driftwood (undecided)
6) fill with water
7) put my 2 fish in and watch
8) lights lets not forget lights still undecided (if someone can give ideas that would be awesome)
 
I would do 50/50 if you go to dark on the substrate the dovii colors will be very dark. I had black gravel with both my males and they didnt look right. I replaced some of it with natural colored gravel and they look alot better.

My big male yea his son thats like 11" not so much. I just did a water change and big boy had a mound of gravel going halfway up the side of the tank at one end and the rest of the tank has barely any. I will say an highly decorated tank does.not stand a chance when they get big, anything they want moved they move. So I've kept mine simple I have other tanks for nice displays.

I've had great luck with my old T5 HO lights (I have a different setup now)... There always good and you can mix n match bulbs as well.
As far as driftwood..., I really favor manzanita and Malaysian driftwood.
