The downside of cash for clunkers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont think history would have missed my wifes 94 ford aerostar van!
We were going to trade it in then I found out it was registered to my sister, they combined insurance policies to save $$,so its not hers tecnically so it doesnt qualify.New car with payments is too complicated to do that way.

Oh well the aerostar will be around for future generations to appreciate.:grinno:

And the other issue?Meh its a better use of my tax dollars than bailing out aig.

:iagree: besides it's our money theyre giving us back.........
Sit down and figure out how much of your paycheck goes to taxes...:screwy:

I have on more than one occasion, a 1/3. Given that no one is actually lowering taxes I'd rather it get used for a cause I agree with not, Union pay outs, bank owners, conservative agendas, and free rides for heavy breeders.

i think its a good idea, but i dont know why the car NEEDs to be scrapped

Some cars should be scrapped without second thought, i.e. Yugo, Pontiac Aztek, Lincoln Blackwood (most useless truck ever), Buick Roadmasters, etc.

Basically, any design that has brought shame upon the maker or works downright horribly should be scrapped.
