eff 'em. They all have it comming.

Amazing photos Miguel. It would be great to witness first hand.Being tradition and the fact that it is the humans that get hurt and not the bulls I have no problems with it at all. Thanks for sharing these awsome pics:headbang2

Nice pics... I was there running this summer when some of those pics were taken. Pretty cool experience. I'm suprised more people weren't seriously injured or killed considering some of the drunk fools that were around me when I was running.

One of my favorite parts was after the bulls were corralled in the stadium they let out some smaller ones with cork on their horns that just ran around mowing down all of the idiots trying to mess with them. I got some pics that I took of that part that I'll post up.

I have some pics of the bullfights at night too, but I think they are a bit too gory to post here.

This is exactly the method for population control they should use in the US. Weed out the dumbasses. If the government would provide enough alcohol, we could convince them to run with large trucks instead of bulls, so the bulls wouldn't be subjected to such stupidity.

LOL!!!

Those pixs are not mine. I haven't been there for years. But that is an amazing experience and a very serious thing.

Sadly, most of the time it is Hemingway wannabe's that get hurt, not the locals who know exactly what to do.

The drunks get seriously hurt, too.

If that were the case I'd be fine with it. Sure, it'd be fun to participate in, but do you know what they do to make the bulls hate the colour red, The bulls do get harmed, It may be minor, but still, they go under serious Stress. :)

Bulls do not hate the colour red. Bulls see no colours. Capes are red as they could be grey.

Bulls get done absolutely nothing ( to make them hate anything or whatever ) before this day ( or any bullfight day ). They live in the fields and are collected one day in advance. Most have not even seen people beyond their horseback caretakers.

wow how many people actually get killed by the bulls??

Finally some sense. The red sashes and bandannas have nothing to do with the bulls. The capes in the bullfight at night weren't even red, they were yellow and pink. It's the movement of the fabric that stimulates the bulls (more of an attention getter than anything else).

Up until the time of the fight the bulls are treated like kings, better than most cattle around here that's for sure. They are respected until their death in the ring, at which point their meat gets donated to feed people at shelters.

Yes, the bullfights are a bit bloody, but a good matador will end it quick with a sword through the heart. A deer's death is much slower and more drawn out when someone goes hunting. They are definately not for everyone, but people have to understand that it bullfights are part of the culture over there and that the bulls are given the utmost respect in life and after death.
