There are plenty of links out there for the existence of God or the evidence that the world was created and you didnt provide those. Again I'm not holding you to the standard of being unbiased, I'm just showing how your view is biased, just like mine (I admit it). "but i do not believe i have to follow "rules" of a specific religion in order to maintain a morally sound life." This one puzzles me because after looking at all those personal pronouns used earlier in this post I think it's quite evident that you DO have a set of rules that you follow, and that is how you determine what is right and wrong. I dont mean to pile on you, and I mean that. It's just that I hear this from a lot of people, and I think that there is much to be gained by everyone if we can get over the whole "silly Christian" thing.
FWIW, I'm not what i would consider religious at all. I do not believe in god in any way, shape or form. I just don't.
I'm not looking to start an arguement ending in insults and a locked thread but, if Jesus loves everyone and all that jazz, then whats with all the hate for *** people?
If your answer has anything to do with family values or morals, keep it to yourself. Neither one should be based on hate.
And before some numbskull calls me ***, nope, sorry, I'm not. I just don't understand why it is that people who often run around telling me Chistianity is about acceptance and tolerance can automatically dislike someone based entirely on who they fall in love with.
I have no problem with people following whichever religion they like, but I do have a problem with those that think they have the right to knock on my door and shove it down my throat.
The local church's latest trick is to send some grandma and little kid out to do their business. Sorry, I'm still going to close the door on you.
Another thing, I just found this funny. I'm sure most here know Jack Van Impe, well, in his infinte wisdom, he has repeatedly wrongly predicted the end of times. Well, I was flipping through the channels a few days ago and came across his show. The very first sentence I heard "The world will not ever come to an end"
Apparently we are supposed to just forget everything he has said over the years, he probably won't care, so long as he can keep selling his books. BTW just how much money is he worth now?

Some Christians may have a hard time dealing with homosexuals, are they might flat out be terrible at it, but this doesn't mean that Christ himself, hates *** people. There might be a god, there might be many gods, there might be no gods, you will find out eventually. When you do, and can bring back proof, we will re-open this thread.
In tyhe mean time I thank everyone for remaining civil on a potentially heated subject.
I am closing it though as simple preventative maintainence.
If you can come up with a reason to reopen it that I consider better than the risk of it remaining open please pm me and I will consider it.
