although I did find the joke quite humorous. The drive seems doable.

Drive a little fast shave off a few hours. leaves you about 10 hours in town to pick up fish, eat, sleep and off you go. 48 hrs round trip.

still a good joke though......

...anyway, no hard feelings.;)

Here is the deal to you, Nova 8, and anyone else who reads this. We are all here to have fun. We all have different ideas of what is funny, what is OK to say, and what is acceptable. On top of that, NOTHING comes across in type as it is meant. If we were speaking face to face, NONE of these little "tiffs" we have would ever occur. Why can't we all just take things as happy thoughts or jokes or poking fun? What the F is the big deal? Dude, if me saying that was a long *** drive insulted you, sorry. This should all be known, but in everything thread, someone has to take it personally and "defend" themselves.
Can't a mod put in a button to order a drink in here? Cheers, Miguel!!!

PS: Sorry to hijack this thread.

I married my wife just to have a lifetime support in keeping fishes :D

But apart from the marriage itself being the social death of "man"...

...actually even without fishes...it was worth it
;)

Cheers!

I thought I was going a long way when I drove a couple of hours to buy an Asian Arowana. (When they hook y there's no limit to what seems reasonable ;) )

In fact the most extreme experience with regard to fish I had was having to go with my wife to see Greece the musical when she found out how much I was spending on the arowana.

I still have flash backs to this day!:D

I do no less than 85mph any where I go. If I'm in a hurry a little over 100:headbang2:headbang2:grinno:

i was going to say... if i'm in a hurry and i've got an open highway... no sweat!

now i rode bmx for 4 years and riding 35miles with 40 lbs on your back is nuts! I believe it tho... i've ridden my bike to places i'm too lazy to drive to now.

Farthest i've gone for something fish wise was 146 miles to tucson for my 210...

Just stay of the 60 from the 15 to the 71 heading either direction. I've had like 3 speeding tickets in that stretch.

Wow, was that too local?

I drove, last May, 5000 km's in 48 hours to pick up an asia arowana..

the crazy things 45 year olds do.......

Hey Miguel,

that´s a nice distance to come around to Germany...

What are you looking for next? ;)

When I bought my 46g I bid on it on ebay and lost the auction in the final seconds, I was not happy, but two weeks later it was listed again due to a non-paying bidder. So I bid on it again, and again lost in the final seconds, so I sent the lady an email that night saying that if that person didn't pay I would be there to pick it up. 5 days later I made the 240 round trip to get it. Totally worth all the trouble. It is a beautiful thing. My fish like it too.
