Excellent job on mending her balton. What else did you do to heal?

The same advice I just gave fishbee about his ant-eaten Dovii.

I put her in a separate hospital tank so she could be alone and stress free. I kept the temp at about 82F and made sure there was plenty of aeration. I added 1tbs of salt per 5 gallons and did daily water changes (replacing the salt removed each time), while trying not to disturb her too much. I only fed her once a day and sucked out the poo with the water changes. A couple of times I had to stress her a bit because the wound was getting infected. Following Modest Man's advice, I netted her out and applied Neosporin to the infection with a Q-tip. All in all it worked out great.

shes a beauty! ive never had festae's but ive been tempted lol

I like every1 else am glad to see all turned out on a positive note. GL on your future journey.

You might have not thought that if you would have seen her at the lfs. She looked pathetic and miserable cowering in the upper corner of the tank all messed up.

She's about 8". Not bad for a $20 bill eh?

Well...it's still healing. I have a feeling it will be less noticable once the scales grow over it but probably won't be perfect. Her fry will look good though, right? :)

oh yea deff...im might buy a female to breed with my friends male festae soon too :)
