The Fish You Miss.....

This is chappie, the fish who introduced me to this site. He was a real character and seemed to like being pet. Would take food from my hand as gentle as possible. He would tussle with his tank mates but was always a gentleman and never destroyed any of the others even though he had full ability to.
He outgrew my tank so I rehomed him to a big pond with a group of adult pacus. Later on the heater from the pond malfunctioned and almost all the fish didn’t make it. Roughly 50 kg of fish had to be disposed of.

I don’t have a pic but it was a glass banging goldsaum back in college. To this day I’m tempted to get some more so that I can get another like him but none I’ve kept since were glass bangers.
I also had a red and white midevil. By far they are the best CA cichlids I’ve kept. Beautiful.

I only had him for about 2 years... was always excited to see him everyday... havnt had a fish as fun to keep that's for sure I really dont know why he died. I had put a female in with him that was nipping at his fins and stuck a devider in... I dont know if it was stress of the female or the divider but he was dead the next morning
I came across this thread last night and was going to post a few photos until I realized it was in the cichlid section.I see now that the thread is cichlid only so hete are a few of my long lost loved ones.
