Sorry Gangster- It was a quick trip. I left my home at 5am, drove 220 miles, and was fishing by 830am. The water level in the creek was lower than I'm used to but there were plenty of these little guys available. Here a a few photos of the dozens that I caught yesterday. The whole area has special regulations- barbless hooks & Catch and Release. I fished until 4pm and made it back home by 730, I can't think of any better way to spend a Saturday!
Those goldens are beautiful! They're high on my bucket list!
This weekend I decided to visit my favorite place in the world! It's a small stream, a 40 mile drive from the nearest paved road. The fish are all fat, healthy, and full of fight! I took lots of pictures, so I'll let them do the talking. xEchOx, sorry in advance for blowing up your thread with pics lol, not all of them are of fish but I think you guys will like them
OMG dude, those pics are awesome! I love the scenic ones just as much as of the fish. Man, I'm really going to have to show this thread to my buddy to try and convince him that CO is where its at!
Those goldens are awesome. If you ever want to do graylings with gangster and me let us know.
So wife got me a pretty sweet net for my birthday and I don't really like bringing the bad luck charm as we call it, but my buddy was happy I had it to net this brown. We put it on a Boga grip and it weighted just over 5 pounds. I love the Truckee.
