Ken brought 2m/3f and 2 juvies back from Uruguay last Dec. The fins all grew back after some TLC in his hatchery and I finally picked them up last week. They will have to live in a 30g holding tank for a couple of weeks before moving into a 90g.

They are still very shy and skittish, but are moving around and eating when I'm not in the room. As soon as they see me they go into this "frozen mode", and if I get closer they would dash around and hide. A bit frustrating but somewhat expected. Hope they get used to me soon :D

Nice! I was about to ask you about them LOL. Looks like they've stayed nice and yellow. How big is that male?

Ed

Thanks Ed :) The bigger one is probably over 6" and the smaller one 5.5". They got their fins and yellow belly back but lost the hump. Hope they will be square again when it gets warmer :D

They are looking really good, nice work! Hopefully they come around to you sooner than later. My s. maps are like that too when I move them. I have a light/food routine I go through and they start coming around in a little less than two weeks. Kind of frustrating but work it.

Thanks! They are doing better already. I threw some random fish (cories, small angels) in the tank as dithers and saw them chasing the angels off yesterday :)

They look great Peat, I always liked the look of Balzanii. You have good taste in fish.

They look great, i was wondering when we'd see some pics of them..
