rays dont smell they are in water so it must be your water that stinks you have a problem or you drian pipe is not flushing properly
motoro are a good strong ray to start with but the problems with them start when they are ready to breed and the female is not ready
you get damage with other rays at breeding time but a male motoro will kill a female if he doesnt get what he wants
get the biggest tank you can then think about stocking it
when people talk about ray size they get a measure out and see what 16-18inch looks like but trust me a 16-18inch disk is much bigger than it look like on a measure
if you want some idear of how big a motoro will get go outside you house and look at the wheels on your car with tyre thats how big a motoro can get so if you think you tank is big enought for a car wheel then you have enought space for a motoro (unless you have a MPV 4X4 or upgraded to flash rims on your car)
