I am sure you regret that that was not the case, tho I was threatened with it by a moderator who was not doing so well in a debate..and you still didn't answer the questions...maybe you can't?
I;ll wait to respond until someone at least tries.
As for holding your breath....well, its a start

DavidW;852751; said:So are any non-global warming folks going to answer the questions or are you just going to keep changing the subject?
Do you agree or disagree that CO2 is a greenhouse gas?
what do YOU think happens to the current annual global human activity related output of 7 Billion tonnes of CO2 per year or what it does?
again, I do not have a background in this field, and as far as I know neither do you (if you did I assume you would not be trying to argue with non-experts). So, I will not engage in a discussion about the validity of your theory. It would be meaningless since neither of us have the credentials to back it up.DavidW;852816; said:Thankyou for keeping on point.
So, we are agreed that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, and no-one disputes ( as far as I know) the amount of CO2 put out by human activities or the projected 50% increase expected, is there not logicaly bound to be a cumulative effect? especially when the prime 'carbon sinks', the worlds tropical rain forests, are being decimated at the same time ( the Amazon rainforest is being stripped at the rate of 10, 000 square miles per year, or 1 football field per second)
off of Wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Great_Global_Warming_Swindle):DavidW;852816; said:If you go through the 'swindle' docu name by name on google you will find very few are actual climatologists, Ball is a fraud ( according to U. Winnpeg) the second guy is a physicist etc, another who is a legit climatologist is suing the docu makers for gross misrepresentation and the makers themselves admit that they set out to be deliberately contraversial.
The debate is good, it increases awareness and sharpens and focuses each of our arguments, at least for those who are interested in facts
DavidW;852870; said:It is true that I also am not an expert in this field, though it does feel that I am gaining a modicum of expertese by debating with you guys LOL
All from the same source, just check the individual names on Wiki....
Richard Lindzen..... "... accepts that the warming has occurred, saying global mean temperature is about 0.6 degrees Celsius higher than it was a century ago.[6]"
This is also a very interesting link about this guy...$2500 per day from the oil and coal industry.....frequently wrong and disavowing his theories from as recently as 5 years ago..please check it out http://www.logicalscience.com/skeptics/Lindzen.htm
Patrick Michaels "In interviews Michaels has said that he does not contest the basic scientific principles behind greenhouse warming and acknowledges that global mean temperature has increased in recent decades,"
John Christy " It is scientifically inconceivable that after changing forests into cities, turning millions of acres into irrigated farmland, putting massive quantities of soot and dust into the air, and putting extra greenhouse gases into the air, that the natural course of climate has not changed in some way."
For a list demonstrating the consensus please see this link

here is a list of over 11,000 individually named scientists who support that climate change is happening

For the record I was not officially warned about anything ( according to Li in a phone call, who is after all the capo de tutti capo here)
The lounge is full of 'non fish related items', it is what it is there for. Politics and religion are always contraversial subjects and usually are matters of subjective faith rather than debates of logic and facts. But this kind of argument is futile and completely off topic.
It is good to have an opinion, it is even better to have an opinion that can be supported with data.
Again, I apologize to anyone who feels their intelligence has been insulted. I have certainly felt the same way quite often reading some of the factually incorrect arguments in this thread .
