you all realize that the amazon floods every year and then the waters recede every year and millions of fish die every year. it's a natural cycle. it's not a disaster.

...that is what i was thinking

and this is probably the 3rd thread about this in the past few months.

yeah its sad...things go die and go extinct...but honestly what we do about it?..not drive our cars so we cant pay our bills....buy more eco friendly cars?, sure why don't you give me one or make my car payments^_^?

this is nature it will take its course no mater what we do or don't do, things go extinct and new things evolve, tis how things works.

This happens every year. No big deal.

Article is written by Heiko Bleher, but we have 16 year old arm-chair experts discounting it. If this is truly a hype article, would appreciate someone with legitimate knowledge adding to the discussion.

Thanks LBF for an interesting read!

I wonder if it will still be a yearly cycle once those dams are built.

This is a natural phenomenon, yes, but its greatly magnified by human influence. Thats what global warming brings, not a sudden disaster, but climate getting a bit more extreme every year

That article is so full of errors it's not even funny.

Natural cycle of things shouldn't be shocking to anyone. It's like being surprised it gets colder in Winter.
