1. Does anyone know what species of bichir are the hardest?

i.e. can handle the most roughest water parameters, live the longest, take stress well. easy feeding, take food quickly.. etc... etc.

2. also are their some species of bichir which do not get along with other species of bichirs?

last question!
If the tank is for Bichir only do u need to have ''hiding spots'' in the tank? or is a empty tank with just the substrate appropriate?

thanks!

Question1:IDK
Question2:not really well ornates are known as fin nippers
Question3:either choice or both is good

All bichirs are hardy and not a single one is the hardiest. That's depend on the owner of the bichirs on how you take care of them. As long as they get the proper care they are always hardy. Hiding spot also depend on the person if he/she wants a hiding spot for them. Smaller juviniles bichirs are the one that hides a lot as they get older they will just sit wherever they want to. All soecies of bichirs will get along with each other as long as one won't fit inside another bichirs's mouth.
