could i keep 2 ornates in 120 gallon 48X24X24 for life, if the tank is empty. no other fish. would they kill each other? lol, i wanna make sure when i get them their not gonna harm each other.

Add some more bichir species to spread out aggression in that 120g. Keeping two bichirs will only cause problems as they will nip on each other. Plus 2 bichirs with no other fish seems boring to watch as they will likely hide. It will meake your aquariums look like a cementary with two undertakers.

You've seen many bichirs keeper's pics already that's should give you some clues.

alright ill do that thanks for the tip, your right about the boring part in away. i wont find it boring, but i could see a random person or my friends finding it boring.

Yes ornates can stay in 120g for life. 55g is the min tank.

I suggest to you that the best combination of giant bichirs is an ornate and an endlicherri endlicherri and and a good tankmate would be the Asian Arowana.

sweet! how many bichirs could i have comfortably, Ornates and endi,endi. i also like the delhezi too; i love the scaly look to them. but if their not appropriate with the other 2 i wont get them.

i have an Eheim 2028 pro 2
and im getting a Fluval Xp5 soon.
i also have lots of power heads and other toys.

IMO all bichirs are the same except size...
polys all have individual behavioural characteristics.
