Is that erosion? Or is it just how low the water level is at the moment?
 
Sweet pics neal...which island are you on? Kauai? I know there are over 165 reservoirs and nine rivers on Kauai that are full of cichla. The pics are just great, must be nice to scout around the waters out there :)

that reminds me. I witnessed a snakehead basking in the shallows. Although, I was unsure as to what sp of SH it was.... It was very light metalic blueish grey.... very beautiful.
 
i wanna live there :( i would love to have some cichla but i dont have a big enough tank

Is that Lake Wilson? I was just there about a month ago, and I saw schools of thousands of pbass and tilapia fry, and bigger pbass and lm bass were rocking them, every few minutes I would see one come up and blast them! I also saw a few pairs of pbass and midas cichlids, its a great lake!
