Yea, I was checking it out at the dealer a few weeks back. I love it, but I think I will wait to drop that kind of money on a bike.... Atleast untill this hits the market-

EIther way, there isnt much offroading here, so the dakar is perfect. I need some new tires, any recommendations? Must have some decent knobs, or the bike will look tacky ;)

btw- have any updated shots of your tank? post em up.

Its a Ducati Look and a proven good sound good but like a Gremlin don’t get it wet my experience with them in the past has been superb to ride diabolical Electrics and the dry clutches can be a bit fragile. but if you want reliability you have got to have the GS. Since the introduction of the original R80 G/S 25 years ago:eek3: , BMW’s GS range has become the genuine all-round, go-anywhere sporting capability. Look at the Dakar rally desert race. When I was a boy I remember the little Belgian Gaston Rahier on this huge 1000 cc bike hacking across the dessert Aaaaaaaaaa that’s why I have such a soft spot for them and the build quality on those things is second to none.

Dakar History

1985 – Gaston Rahier, R80 G/S – winner

2000 – Oscar Gallardo, F650 RR – second
2000 – Jimmy Lewis, R900 RR – third
2000 – Jean Brucy, F650 RR – fourth
2001 – John Deacon, R900 RR – sixth

And the film star Ewan McGregor and friend Charley Boorman rode around the world on two of them the force must be stong in those BMW.

And can i see Snakehead pics 2;)

How mental.... a lake full of cichlids. Bet the snakeheads don't go hungry then!
Ever since I was a kid, I loved looking into ponds and rivers in the springtime and seeing shoals of fry and baby fish, it may even have been a contributing factor to me starting in the hobby in the first place.
But to have all those species in your fishing lake...? Brilliant. Have you taken any home yet? (Apart from PBass obviously)
The botanical gardens here in Glasgow has a tropical fish pond in one of its greenhouses and I've been sorely tempted to sneak in there with a big glass jar in my pocket and catch some fry...!!

makes me want to vacation there

do you know the name of the lake??
