I was at one of the LFS close by today browsing around. I never buy things there though, due to the astronomical prices they charge. Saw a 75 gal with a whole bunch of arowanas. In white marker on tank it said Ruby silver arowanas at 168 a piece at about 6-8 inches. I just wtfed in my head, because they looked just like a silver... only there was a tank right next to it with silver arowanas at 38 a piece. I looked back and forth a noticed the "ruby" silvers looked much brighter and had a nice red sheen to them. Where as the "normal" silvers were...well silvers. There was noticeable difference, but not by much. Took out my iphone to snap a pic only to be told "no pics please". Anyone know if this is some business ploy? Because whatever these "ruby" silvers are, they outcost Blacks at the same size...Maybe I'll go back and sneak some shots.
