Looks like the fry have plenty of green slime and hair algae to graze on. Looks like they are your typical convict parents too with how well they are caring for their fry. I wouldn't be too surprised if they'd pump out another few batches before going after the members of the first one.
Oh I have the first batch in their own 10 gallon. This batch I'm going to leave with the parents to see how far they'll get with me feeding their fry 3 times a day.
Well they are doing a good job so far. Can't wait to see how the fry look like once they mature.
I hope so too. I'm starting to see marbling in some of the fry. Because of Nick's marble gene and the female's colors I hope some of Nick's female fry turn out like the super orange marbled convicts mbuna Marcus has.
In the meantime:
There are now 4 phenotypes, there's platinum like their father was when he was a baby, there's normal black convicts like the mother, but now there's these pink transparent blushing ones and these silver/blue ones. I am pulling all the silver ones to raise those and see what they end up becoming.
Neat, can't wait to how those silvers turn out. Might end up being a new color morph.
