I am overrun with fry. First batch I'm about to start selling, second batch I left with the pair so they don't spawn again though Nick is attacking the female and trying to get her to spawn.
Anyway, I'll start selling the pink, platinum and black fry.
Black and pink ones - $4 ea
Platinums - $5 ea
If anyone was and still is interested
Silvers are still growing, they're weird, they have blue faces and dorsals, silver bodies and a big black dot on their sides in place of stripes.

there are still fry with the pair...
I'm down to a reasonable 50 in each tank that currently has fry
Sizes vary from ones like the one on the right in the picture above to tiny convicts
I'm growing out some of the blue/silver ones in another tank to see what they grow into, I'm assuming they just grow into weird looking blue HRP type things.

Since my actual hrp fry have grown a bit I can confirm the blue fry in this spawn will probably turn out looking like hrps.
I only managed to get 13 actual platinum fry however, and am growing them out for breeding of their own. Same goes for the orange ones

3rd batch was born about 2 weeks ago, tank full of the older fry crashed and I'm down to about 30 decent sized ones in there. The (actually) 14 platinum fry are doing great and growing extremely fast.

That's interesting, I wonder how you get a monogamous species of fish to become polygamous like that. Probably a dominance thing.
I like to read all these posts. It is wonderful how patient and caring you are about all these small fished. You must be really fond of what you are doing. I am from
https://populationstat.com/canada/toronto , I need to check where to buy these species locally. I used to have aquarium in my childhood. Now I thinking about restarting all this again. It looks like a relaxation hobby.
dude trust me. hobby yes. relaxation not always
