I dont mean to be rude, but im pretty sure my explanation is correct. considering you can see the projector and the active display screen.

Not rude at all. Could just as easily be a projection onto a flat screen. I though the light behind her were fans. They are not so a flat display would be easier Just pointing out that the tech to do a true 3d display is out there and not new. But yeah I what you mean by the projector.

lmao@ nerds getting technical over what exactly it is and ignoring the fact that the amazing thing is it's selling out concerts! projector or hologram, it's making bank!

Brittney spears sells out concerts. She in most ways just as created as the hologram. Also in Japan they have a guy who is LEAGALLY married to and anime character.

This should be no surprise to anyone familiar with the anime culture in japan.

you're absolutely right, so instead of discussing the difference in cultures, let's argue over hologram or projectors?

i will applaud the first person who does that here. it'll be the final nail in the coffin for the argument that our pop stars are fake and put together

Thats exactly why I posted this. The fact that not only is it a cartoon but the voice is completely artificial, but people still eat it up.
Though I do think people are underestimating the technology here. If it were just a flat screen displaying her the people on the sides of the crowd would be screwed. But theyr not. They get to see the show too which is what makes this more than a TV screen.

The people on the sides can't see her. How could they? She's flat.

*on closer inspection, it appears the crowd area is arranged in a triangle so there aren't any people at a disadvantaged angle.

Actually it uses the same tech cisco helped develop...heres the link.

It's pretty cool....really I don't see any dif between this and beber and the other basically fake singers that kids here in the states listen to
