Haha thanks! I do wish my aquascaping was better than my photography though. Still not happy with the way the tank looks. Lacks any real style or aquascaping in my eyes. I guess I get discouraged when I see the tanks of all these master aquascapers. These guys are amazing artists :)

well, i dont know if you look at anything I write & take it with a grain of salt, however talking directly - Aim to do a bonsai class bud, this will teach you very quickly how to draw the eye into the scene properly. plus its a cost effective option that is worth its weight in gold.

In my opinion, there needs to be a sh^t load more workbench programs for the aquatic fields, even if its LFS based. A skill set isn't something your usually born with, more often than not you need to discover it within yourself.

Yeah, I love reading your posts :) Bonsai, never thought of that. That's a neat idea though. With aquascaping tanks, I find it easy to create a vision, and I know what it takes to make a nice aquascape. The problem begins when I actually start working on the tank. I get so frustrated working inside a tiny glass box. Workign with rocks is easier, driftwood pisses me off!! Eventually I just end up putting the plants where ever they land :nilly:

Yeah bonsai group planting is sweet. Its where i learnt early to use an odd numbering principle.

I used to frequently visit an acquaintance that had a massive bonsai farm up in the mountains. He built an awesome workbench area for classes. It was something like $70-80 for a full in-depth focus class - they provide quality materials, & you kept what ever you made. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I bought maybe the first 2 bonsai, then a barter system kicked in. The price for picking his brain & free stock was by me helping with his woefully ugly fishtanks.

I hear you on working within the boundary of a glass box. Youve chosen the next best solving option though going rimless, however i can see how mentally it can do your head in still. Youve got the active ability bud, take comfort in the fact your not happy with it. It means you'll constantly push the limits in an effort to refine.

Welcome to my world. Speaking of which, have you given biotope a hit yet?

This is why I love rimless tanks ;)
