ok, frankensump incoming.
lid off, water enters here, usually a filter sock on, so the floss isn't really needed, but i have it there anyways.
two full drawers of scrubbies. i had a 3rd drawer under, in the sump, but removed it for maintenance and just couldn't be bothered to put it back in, so the scrubbies are free floating.
90gal tank with freefloat scrubbies and some floss (it helps to dampen the sound of the water splash, which used to be overwhelming from even upstairs). the water level is quite low atm. coming up on water change time. it started with 45 gal of water in the sump and that is what remains due to evaporation.

goes back into the tank via a pvc spraybar.
whole shot. ignore the "cover". keeping the moisture in while i cut some brand new acrylic to size for all of my tanks and sump lids.
can see the faulty previous version i had unending problems with, as well as my tank being built here.
