Haha why so many people think it would be a bad trade? Any trade that both partys end up happy is a good trade end of story.

Super sweet bro!
That kel looks good too!

Don't see the deal with Asian aros, cichla are so much more fun in my opinion.
Aros just swim back and forth, and aren't too attractive.

I dont think you guys seen his aros. I love cichla too but his aros were bad ass! If both parties are happy thats cool but hope it was at least a fair trade.

I love them tim but that big male could eat that KEL BRO:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:
I'm at home keeping an eye on this all week. Currently there is no interest at all. However he did go for the dorado so I've moved that.

I liked it more w/ the asian aro's....Hope you got some cash as well.
Yes I did get cash towards the trade. I like a tank full of cichla more.

Wow Dedication is an understatement and Congatulation's are in order. Beautiful big boy's. I came to the conclusion the Arrow's were not my cup of tea either (even if all we can have here are Silver's). Getting rid of the Asian's were a big leap.:nilly:Definatly living up to your name! That being said I applaud you on the change up. :headbang2:D
Thanks. I do love asian aros but not as much as cichla. I've only got one tank at the moment so it has to be cichla.

Thanks, these cichla definitely look like fun.

This trade has raised an interesting subject. You should all bear in mind that fish have different values in different countries. Asian aros are illegal in the US so obviously some of you would give your right arm for one. However cichla are pretty hard to come by in the UK. My kel and pinima are probably a couple of the rarest fish in the country. If you offered me a big azul for a rtg arowana I wouldn't hesitate as there are no azuls in the uk I am aware of.
Out of curiosity how much would you guys value a 16" mono at?

I live in Arowana city, I've seen my fair share of "high grade" and nice Asian aros.
Still prefer cichla.:D

Thanks bud. They were pretty bad ass but I just prefer cichla. I think it was a fair trade. Big cichla are pretty pricey in the UK. 12-14" monos are going for about $240 US each on the odd occasion someone is actually selling. I only paid $400 each for the arowanas a year ago, plus I got cash so I'm very happy.

Also I believe there is a potential breeding pair in here so I could be set for a future breeding project.

You're a smart guy, I'm sure the deal was fair or good on your part. I agree with you that all the American's are forgetting the value of asian aro's outside of the US...or the value of rare cichla in the UK. Beautiful cichla!

Tim you don't want to know what the Mono would go for here I'll leave it at that .....And they are just Beauties Bro :headbang2

Good to hear the deal was fair. didnt think about the legality issues and prices. Either way you've got some nice cichla. Gotta love a tank full of glass bangers. Congrats!
