no tripod? dang must have a steady hand lol
 
He said shutter speed was 120 - that's easy to do handheld, no need for tripod. Here's one I took a few years ago hand held with a Panasonic FZ-18 (it's just a point and shoot camera, just to show that you don't need fancy equipment for these kinds of shots).

cool shot =] i used to love looking out the telescope my parents have... but I never really did understand how to find anything lol

Absolutely. I'm not disagreeing with that. My intention was just to show that if people want to try taking photos of the moon they shouldn't be intimidated just because they don't have a telescope/SLR setup.

I agree 100%. Seen awesome shots with P&S cameras, Hell, I even seen nice photos with a Iphone.
