I think I've gone thru the entire spectrum of thermometers over the years and have experienced every failure you can imagine.... from a battery going dead to an Arowana swallowing the probe. My question is has anyone found a thermometer that's reasonably priced that isn't completely off in temperature within a few months? I've used the adhesive ones, the coralife probed ones, glass thermometers (but my large cichlids tend to break the glass).... any suggestions?
I'm considering going back to the glass thermometers with the suction cup or weights on the bottom and somehow manufacturing a protective PVC case that will allow ample water flow to be exchanged for accurate readings. Thanks in advance....
