The MOST expensive fish I have ever bought...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A nearly impossible to get Pristis clavata (dwarf FW sawfish).

So i guess the next question would be, did you ever manage to locate one after the first didn't work out? or did you give up after that due to the price tag and not wanting to risk another DOA?

Man, Americans have it cheap, I spent $500 on a bichir (which jumped out the tank and died in 3 days) also $400 on a GG. I dont consider anything <$250 expensive. I just bought a 7" Dovii for $150 last week.

I paid 80 bucks for a 10" ornate bichir. Now he is about 13" and that was about 5 months ago and Americans don't have it easy I have to order my fish from vendors 99% of the time cuz none of the fish stores here in my area have nothing good

I looked for years for another P. clavata. The only species I could find available was P. microdon. Didn't go for it since P. clavata would be more manageable at 4.5ft than P. microdon at 11.5ft adult length.

$100 for my first jardini aro back in 2005 it was 10 inches. Bought my second jar for $30 at 4 inches.
