Was getting off the bus so couldn't finish my comment, but as far as most expensive fish i've personally seen for sale is probably some of the Asian Aro's...

Excluding Aro's, then it would probably be some of the Batman Rays from a few years ago or more recently some of the Platinum Gars i've been seeing around ranging from about 16" - 3'...

Then there are the Blue Fin Tuna's that are sold for Astronomical Prices at the start of each years Tsujiki Fish Market in Japan that go for hundreds of thousands USD...

^ Sorry for being a buzz kill, but seriously speaking, if you probably lived in the Philippines / Thailand / Indonesia or another similar Asian country than i'm sure you could get by without too much problem financially, but the minute you start selecting the more expensive Asian cities like Japan or Hong Kong, then living expenses go up real quick, which is probably how they can get away with selling certain fish for so much money and still have a lot of demand for them...
