yeah, I think gen x could be called the mtv generation... raised on music videos, not this reality show crap.


and I'm not going deaf - I meant that I haven't heard 'mtv generation' used as an insult in a very loooooong time.
 
I used to love staying up real late watching headbangers ball. I think MTV helped me grow and made me want to be a musician. Nothing like seeing those hot metal chicks in the videos wearing tight skirts and leather.

On the 30th anniversary of Mtv, I think it was vh1 that played the first full hour of mtv unedited... commercials and all. It was interesting.

looking at this list is funny, who knew Iron Maiden got so much rotation on the first day (and who are half these people - Robin Lane and the Chartbusters?):
