Pretty sure this is the pump i have on the new tank. The 8500. I dont think ive seen a better pump out there http://www.evolutionpumps.com/Evolution-Pumps/Evolution-ES-Series-Pumps-sc-11411.html

I use the big 10 micron filter socks from aquatic eco for mechanical.

Hey Trev is that pump pretty quiet? I picked up the 2500 to run on a closed loop and was just wondering if it was quiet enough to run in a livingroom?

I just have it sitting on some 2x6's on the floor so it has a little noise to it but its not that bad

Tested this pump today with very pleasing results. My pondmaster are pulling about 300 watts ea compared to the one pump pulling 386
