Welcome to MonsterFishKeepers.com

The members of this forum have come together to share our knowledge and experiences of fish keeping. We want to answer your questions, offer advice and fill the galleries with pictures of the fish we have all grown to love.

We are a unique community of Fish Keepers who seriously take our hobby to extremes and the NEXT level. The majority of our fish collections include RARE & EXOTIC Species of all sizes, BIG FISH with BIG APPETITES and BIG TANKS. It's not easy for most people or other "regular" fish keepers to understand why we maintain this type of collection and spare no expense on this fascinating hobby.

Hopefully, through this site and discussion forums we can encourage the next generation of Monster Fish Keepers to have the same passion and love we have for the hobby and our Monster Fish .

Yes, these are mines. Very slow growers and they changed a lot from when I first got them. Maybe I need to try feeding them pellets? Their main diet is just frozen tilapia. What lighting are you guys using to bring out the best colors in kelberis? T5?

Wow! Those are the Rio paranas from rapps? Those are going to be stunner for sure. T5s and a lot of lamps bring out the best colors in kels and cichla in general.

Yes, these are the Rio Paranas from Rapps. They are still young, so hopefully they turn out to be real nice when fully mature.

Yes, mines are a bit older than yours. I do see the great potential in yours even though they are younger. It would be interesting to see how yours turns out. Wild caught kelberis seem like they are late bloomers when it comes to spangles and gold. But when they mature, they are crazy nice!
