Very diff but even when the US falls i know we'll both still follow it to the end. I cheered for every African team in the group round. It was fun. The viewing party's they keep showing in some of these US cities are insane. Thats what i like though. Watching it with a small group of friends and a ton of strangers. Creates great memories. You don't even get that from the Olympics

However, the draw will have some effect on how far you go as far match up of styles but it doesn't help a mediocre team go all the way to the end. The US is mediocre at best

Yet they beat a high ranking Portugal team (tied, but they really outplayed them) who was SUPPOSED to be better. Many teams like Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, Uruguay, and a few others are "mediocre" as well and have actually kicked ass this world cup. Germany barely beat US 1-0. It could have easily been the other way around. All I am saying is it is funny when people act like a "better team" is automatically going to win. Like there is no possible way they are going to lose. And if they lose it is because the other team was lucky. Well, that is why they have matches instead of giving the win to a "better team". Not saying the USA is going to win it all but it is not impossible. Anyone could win. Like I said, a lot has to do with the luck of the draw and who the team is paired up with.
