The passing of a giant... Titus.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a CA hybrid named Loco that hit himself on the lid for the last time yesterday.
Had him for 2 years 4 months.

He definitely paralyzed himself because from his pectorals back he was very weak.

So I just had to put the most owner responsive glass banger into the freezer in a big metal bowl of water.
Still fully conscious, just paralyzed.I couldn't let him waste away.

Being mad and wanting to give up is definitely a feeling in me also.

Oh, and to the outsiders who say "It's just a fish", please, save it...

So only the people who have gone through this can side with you.

All of you who have had to euthanize or remove the corpse of a large wet pet.

So, besides the weightless, tired, played out "sorry for your loss" crap, all I have to say is, try and get your mind of it man.

Peace.

Thanks to everyone for the kind and encouraging words. Reading this really has brought my spirits about.

... Dude seriously? The poor man's fish is dead, and you bring back a dead thread with that?

Now that was a true texas, RIP. I wish i could get quailty like that. Amazing fish you had there. Sorry to see a great one go.

Oops didn't get past the first page before i posted. why did someone move it to the top again? Still sorry for the loss.

Lost my L-24 pleco 2 years ago. They are next to impossible to find today. Had him for 8 years. Anyways I took a day off from work and went to every LFS I knew of and just browsed around. Was not planning on buying another pleco right away but came across a beutiful L-114 that was same size as my old L-24. Still have him and actually like him now better than my old L-24.

thats unbelievable, you should feel nothing but pride for raising a fish like that
