Decided to keep the lights off to kill the algae…subsequently killing the plants. Started a week or two ago. I have black beard, string, and some other kind of bba-like algae.
Do you think it’s worth getting a pleco? Could clean off the glass - just wondering if the bio load is too much. Probably would move out to the pond once it’s built.
Kinda at a loss of words here - I was gone for about a week and a half and have not fed the fish. I come home to see this. My Senegal Bichir seemed to be mauled. I’m not really sure how or why. You can see his spine in the picture as well as the last bit of his tail. My guess would be someone was hungry, but I’m not really sure. When I feed them the Senegal normally eats like half the food or so, and I have no way of telling who gets the rest, so I would assume someone was hungry. What do you think?

Hmm if that’s the case then I don’t know how it could’ve died. I was only gone for a week and I check on these fish twice a day at least.
What’s the full stocking? If it was eating well I doubt there were any major disease concerns, so aggression could be possible. I would just expect a bichir not to leave much left.
