The pool filter sand thread!!

I have it in my 125 gallon with about 15 African Cichlids...Works great and the fish seem to like it better than gravel.

It does.. and different brands too! I got mine at Leslie's Pool Supply store.. I had no luck at Lowe's or Home Depot.. That pic was taken back in March, the tank doesn't look anything like that anymore... damn it looks really ugly..! lol..

That looks really good. I would like to stay more brown than like a clear or white.
 
i love poolfilter sand, after spending $50 to fill my 65g with gravel im wishing i spent the $20 and put pfs instead. im hoping to do it be christmas...i want to feel like i never wasted the $50 lol. i'll get my ware out of them and then go pfs but i think i should buy now because they won't have
 
lol but maybe i should wait because then i will know i cant do anything for a year lol and get my ware for sure lool
 
i think i will go and snatch a couple bags just for when im ready to convert i can do it right away and i dont get stuck being annoyed with my tank for 8 months through winter rather then enjoying it all winter
