i hear ya, its just cichla folks like to know the point of collection. and especially with orinos since they can look very different. when i talked to jeff, he said even he had trouble finding out where these guys came from, exporter wasnt too willing to give up the info.

but given that both of these batches went up for sale around the same time and are close to the same size, i think it's safe to assume theyre from the same place

Yup... im just guessing myself... puting 1+1 together... but dont take my word for it:D, its just a wild guess

I just got a couple more orino from Rich. Great fishes no ich, a bit on the small side compare to Rapps. All of them are now eating blackworms. I am a happy man now.

Chris

GL guys, hope all the ich problem will go away soon.

im getting some from rich also, would you recommend putting them together with jeff's or no or are they that much smaller

They are cool towards each other. No sign of aggression. The only problem is that I can't feed them enough blackworm. the eat like a pig.

5 big ones are from Rapps, the smaller guy is from Rich this morning.

Chris

looking good big dogg

I picked up 5 from Rich. I jumped the gun and didn't realize how tiny they are. But I am very happy. So far so good. Eating crushed freeze dried krill and blood worms like no other. Anybody want to drop me some knowledge on caring please do so. Smallest cichla I ever raised was at 2-3 inches.

Aquarium Salt and Water Temp @ 88F is critical to avoid ich. Other than that, make sure ur orinos are well fed.

:iagree: but regular water softener salt will do, no need to pay extra for "aquarium salt". just keep them warm and well fed, and theyll do just fine :)
