As for the 240 gallon tank I am thinking of turning it into a breeder real grow out tank. after playing with the bottom holes that someone was sloppy trying to seal with bondo I one night was playing with the tank, poring water out after trying to seal it better didn't really work and I hear the plastic over the hole make some noise, so I pressed on it found it was not attached at all well, hit on the bottom a little and it popped it lose a little, was able to get it off after that with very little force. Then did the same with other three. They are not acrylic and were not attached well at all, glad I finally went backwards instead of trying to cover up someone's lousy job. Sanded them down a bit and think I could hook up an fx5 to the drain holes in the bottom as I plan to only fill it half way or a little more. All the seams are great on the tank so 60.00 probably will be worth it. after I buy another 30.00+ in bulk heads. lol 4 1" and 2 1.5"

Thanks. Ya finish wiring tomorrow and then move stand back in place. Get tank in basement. Start fill ASAP and fitting plumbing

this tank is gonna be epic man cant wait for the big release!

alright so with 5 people, and just enough room to fit we got it on the stand, after everything I almost thought it was not going to fit into the room it was super tight even though when measured we had about 2.5 inches extra it sure didn't seem like that getting it into the basement. Here are the pics. I do not look forward to ever taking this thing out of the basement. And after sitting for a couple month on a floor that was not level 100 percent it is just a little bowed in the one corner and really is much much better then I thought. So tomorrow I will be working on getting all the plumbing setup and get it filled with sand and with water. Going to be done soon. The blue tape is just to hold the Styrofoam on while moving it into place will remove soon. And the sump is not in final place yet so dont get head over heals on having it supported and in the right place.

you can see on right hand side how it was so tight we hit the wall and took the paint texture off and its down to the Sheetrock. I wish everyone could see it in person to really get the idea of it, the top of the tank is about 5' 9inches

Thanks. And Ya this week has been non stop I can't wait to be able to kick back and just watch the fish swim around. And just do weekly or every two week maintenance. But so far it's been good. I'm glad to have the tank finally in the basement.

All the work you're putting in now will make kicking your feet up and veggin' out in front of the tank that much more rewarding. Looking forward to seeing this sucker filled. Lookin' good!

Ya it's hard to find them sometimes. Most people hang onto them unless they get burned out.
