I have posted this on a couple of different sites but i am still curious to know what people think the undisputed king of the aquarium is, i will start this by saying the discus but would love to here what others have to say.
 
I can't see this going anywhere...just people’s personal opinions...maybe a few petty arguments...
There is no 'undisputed king of the aquarium'...that is why we have so many categories in this hobby...because people have different tastes/interests...
People could argue until the cows come home, the fact is, different fish (types, temperament, appearance, distribution etc) interest different types of people. Some people like more than one type of fish…
Like I said, this will go no where, though I know it is a bit of playful thought lol

as for me, the Undisputed ruler of my aquariums is my Clown Knife:naughty: .
 
My vote goes to the goldfish from Southpark.
 
I think that stingrays & aros deserve a vote for sure.
 
for fresh water i would have to say The Discus, As for salt water goes i'll stick with loin fish
