Oscars are like underwater parrots! and are actually 1 of the smartest cichlids u can buy...what otehr cichs can u train to jump thru hoops fer food?? i'd have to say my oscar fer sure!

If that is possible, it would be safe to say that the act would be based on the fact that O's jump alot, especially for food and someone simply puts a hoop in front of them as they jump. You guys are giving these bottomless pits too much credit.

Anything that would be put in with my RTM female (RIP) learned to be the smartest as they knew to stay out of her way.

He knows when I am playing with him or when I want to just touch him. Example is I can wrestle with him in the tank and he wrestles back yet if I stop he will let me rub the top of his head and he won't leave until I take my hand out.

dumbest by far = oscar. I love him, but he's a retard. Takes food and then swims away real fast right into the glass. dopey thing. One time he was lying underneath a piece of driftwood like he was trying to hide, but he was sticking out of every side, and half his head was sticking out, he wasn't even close to fitting.

i would say the opposite my africans seem to be the least intelligent and interactive, my midas was very smart
