I see you are in california and this kind of turtle of yours is forbbiden in that state. Why is it forbbiden in Cal. and how you dealed with that fact.

Yeah, I was noticing the same thing.

I had posted a bunch of stuff about my Snapper before I found out they were illegal in Oregon. I jumped through a bunch of hoops for the Department of Fish and Wildlife and finally got a permit for Snappy.

Anyhow, I'm sure you keep your turtle in your other house out of state...

Wow, didn't know snappers were so popular. Makes me wish I still had mine. He was probably 12" front of shell to back. Mean as it gets too! I loved it, just didn't have the room at the time.

Mine eats minnows and little river lobsters most of the time and every once in a while I feed him beffheart.
